production method | 1? The reaction of dilute nitric acid with mercury can produce mercurous nitrate. After mixing 25% of dilute nitric acid with excess metallic mercury, the mixture is allowed to stand at 10~15 ℃ for several days and stirred from time to time, to remove mercury from the crystalline surface. Then, the mixture is heated until the crystals are completely dissolved (note: the temperature does not exceed 45 °c), the upper layer solution is separated from the excess mercury, after filtration, the filtrate is cooled to 0 °c for crystallization, after filtration, the crystals were washed with 2% nitric acid. The mother liquor, the washing solution and the unreacted mercury are heated together and evaporated to 1/3 of the original volume, filtered, crystallized at 0 ° C., washed with 2% nitric acid, and the two parts of the crystals are combined and dried. |
